My inspiration from the culture of Indian led me to focus on hand embroidery techniques, bearing in mind the limitations we had to workshops I decided to develop my techniques myself by learning from you-tube tutorials on French knots. 

I soon found this technique to be a great method for easily applying colour to my given garments and a easy way of experimenting with my colour palette. I also found the technique to be very time consuming so I will have to be sensitive as to where I apply my French knots.

By learning how to do French knots I was easily able to experiment with my colour palette, whilst injecting interest and texture into drab looking garments.
