Due to us all needing little extra time to finish our final pieces we made a group decision to push the date of our exhibition back by a couple of days. Whilst we have all working hard to spread the news about our exhibition amongst friends and fellow students I decided the most effective form for promotion at such late notice would be to create an event through the social network of Facebook. By inviting everyone I knew in Manchester and enabling other members of the group to become hosts, allowing them to also invite people I was hopeful we would achieve a respectable turn out!
I also posted a public invite our ‘Textileyyyss in practice’ Facebook page, which over half the students on our course are members to.
