Brighton Museum & Art Gallery

Hippie Dress |
During Easter I visited Brighton for couple of day’s whist there I happened to come across Brighton Museum & Art Gallery. Part of which is home to a number of fashion outfits consisting of a number of styles and era’s. The mix of so many different looks on show was rather inspiring, especially the contrast of Hippie and Goth outfits against an Alexander McQueen dress.

I love the strong vibrant blue against the pale shade of blue grey colour being revealed as the paintwork beings to decay on this old gate wheel.

A Festival of Colours

The Festival of colours, known as Hoil is a celebration of the welcoming of spring and a celebration of good conquering over evil. The celebration involves people chasing each other around and throwing colourful powder over one another.
Karishma Shahani: New Collection
Another hugely inspiring collection from Karishma Shahrni as the London College of Fashion graduate releases her second collection.
Dress Code
As part of Unit X and working at Hotspur House we have been given a fantastic opportunity to collaborate on a project to help “dress” the streets of Whitechapel in the run up to the Olympics.
I think this could be a really exciting experience and a great opportunity to get some experience for my C.V!
As our project links so well to the brief I’m sure we’ll be able to work this project into our personal group project and not give ourselves too much work to manage.
